vintage wines are those produced entirely (or almost entirely) with grapes harvested in the same year. Still wines usually come from a single vintage. Sparkling wines, on the contrary, tend to be blend of grapes from different years’ harvests. This ensures more consistency in the wine style from year to year. Using a single vintage, on the other hand, enhances the wine’s special features and uniqueness, that largely depend on the weather during the grapes’ growing season.
